custom designed heaters are carefully engineered to
meet the needs of your specific application. All of
Petrosin's process heaters, whether direct or indirect,
are designed to provide optimum thermal efficiency with
minimal energy consumption. Our current designs can
deliver up to 93% net thermal efficiency.
After
evaluation of your specific requirements, Petrosin's
engineers will custom design your heater with state-of-the-art
computerized mechanical and process programs. These
programs, coupled with our experience, enable Petrosin
to optimize our innovative and competitive designs.
Petrosin heaters can be used for a wide variety of applications
with process steam pressure varying from 0 to 10,000
psig and temperatures from -320F to 1600F.
Features and Services Available
on All Petrosin Heaters
Packaged Instrumention and Controls
Units are supplied with instruments and controls for
unattended operation. Programmable controllers (PLC's)
can be offered to allow automated sequencing and to
identify alarms in the equipment's operation. All controls
are piped, wired, and function tested prior to shipment.
Electrical control systems are designed to meet recognized
codes such as IRI, NFPA, NEC, FM, UL, USGS, and BASEEFA.
Noise
Level
A special low noise burner, with the latest noise abatement
technology, can be provided to reduce the noise level
in high profile areas.
Turnaround Inspection
Heater specialists are available to assist during plant
turnaround or to perform periodic inspections of heater
operation, burner adjustment, coil, and insulation.
Start-Up Assistance
Petrosin provides complete start-up and trouble shooting
assistance. Experienced field engineers will assist
with start-up, training, trouble shooting, and maintenance
of heaters. Petrosin also offers once a year heater
surveys to assure compliance with air pollution regulations,
determine heater performance and identify potential
problem areas.
Quality Control and Testing
Quality control inspectors will assure compliance with
code and customer specifications. Our foremen and quality
control managers are dedicated to manufacturing excellence.
All instrument and control systems are tested before
shipping to assure easy installation and start-up.

Standard packages, deliverable on short notice, can

Oil Bath
Indirect Heaters:

Petrosin's Oil Bath heaters are designed to use various
liquid heat transfer media surrounding the fire box
and process fluid coil. Oil Bath heaters deliver uniform
heat transfer to process fluids at medium temperatures.

Bath Indirect Heaters:
Petrosin's Steam Bath Heaters are designed to heat temperature
sensitive organic fluids. Our Steam Bath Heaters utilize
low pressure code vessels with a removable coil positioned
above the normal liquid level providing uniform steam
heat transfer.

Water
Bath Heaters:
Petrosin's Water Bath Heaters are designed
with three major components: heat media reservoir, fire
tube, and process coil bundle. Both the process coil
bundle and the fire tube are submerged in the heat media.
The submerged firetube heats the heat media which in
turn heats the process stream inside the submerged coil
bundle.
