Project Summary The plough was designed
to trench 42" diameter lines with depth cuts of approximately
2.30 metres with a safety factor for the share structure
at 1.225. In addition, its cutting angle was set roughly
at an angle of 37.24 degrees. The designed share-soil
reaction was recorded horizontally at 178.6 T and vertically
at 73.9 T. The total pull force determined was 400 T
(200 T for each side of the shares). The plough was
designed and fabricated by Petrosin and is retained
as a Petrosin asset and used on offshore pipeline for
Taiwan.
